Modern Slavery Statement

The Heart

The purpose of this statement is to clearly articulate our corporate revulsion of slavery in all of its forms, the insidious nature of modern slavery and the precautions we can all take (collectively and individually) to ensure we are not inadvertently supporting those who benefit from the exploitation of others.  CV Placement ("CVP") will not tolerate any form of modern slavery.

Definition of Modern Slavery

Modern slavery is a title which covers all forms of slavery, servitude, trafficking and forced labour. Victims of modern slavery can be men, women and children of any age across the world.  By its nature, modern slavery is usually hidden and is not confined to international borders and can exist up and down the traditional supply chain.

Our Approach

We are committed to acting with GRACE* and integrity, at all times, ensuring that all of our business dealings undergo relevant ethical considerations and the utmost transparency. We recognise that our field of operations (in supporting individuals to relocate from one country to another) provides a heightened risk and we are committed to maintaining effective systems and controls to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place in our business or our supply chain.

It is clear to us that modern slavery can exists in all jurisdictions and countries and that unscrupulous people will seek opportunities to benefit from the suffering of others.  We are delighted that the international community have made their position clear in both statute and practice, not least of all in our field of operations as shown through the following legislation:

  • The Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act 1986 – India

  • Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act 1976 - India

  • Modern Slavery Act 2015 – England and Wales

  • Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Criminal Justice and Support for Victims) Act (Northern Ireland) 2015 – Northern Ireland

  • Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015

Our Collective Responsibility

We believe that when entities have a shared determination, we can significantly curtail the opportunities for exploitation.  For that reason, we seek input on our operations from those who know the dangers posed by modern slavery first hand and share our acquired knowledge up and down our supply chain.

Our Individual Responsibility

We believe that an ethical business must consist of ethically minded individuals who are motivated by a love for all people and determined to see and act wherever possible for the benefit of another.  Our people are empowered to act, safe in the knowledge that we will recognise their heart and back their instinct.

Our Proposition

We exist to help Nurses achieve their desire to bring their expertise to the health and social care services in the United Kingdom.  We do this through the provision of quality training, immigration consultancy and ancillary support.  We never provide these services in a manner which may place a person at risk of exploitation.

Our Partners

We work exclusively with like-minded organisations who demonstrate a total commitment to the principles of this statement and the highest ethical standards.  We refuse to work with any organisation who fails to live up to the morale obligation we at CVP feel so deeply.

Our Policies

Our policies are carefully constructed and regularly reviewed to ensure we remain equipped to recognise slavery and take appropriate action.

Due Diligence & Risk Assessment

Our team specifically review our protocols to identify areas which may present an opportunity for abuse or exploitation.  We seek input from experts and put in place mitigation to remove any identified risk.  To us, people are always the priority.

All suspected instances of Slavery will be reported to our Chief Operating Officer immediately.  We will notify the relevant authorities and make no apology for applying a strict adherence to the law and the spirit of our commitment.
